Privacy Policy

This policy explains what KLZ Stone Supply Inc. collects when you use this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to describe this site specifically, so where something does not apply to us, it says so.

Who we are

KLZ Stone Supply Inc. is a wholesale supplier of natural and engineered stone slabs, trading from 11129 Zodiac Ln, Dallas, TX 75229. We are the party responsible for this website and for the information described below.

What this website collects

Information you give us

If you call us, email us, or use the form on our contact page, we receive whatever you choose to tell us — typically your name, your email address or phone number, and what you are looking for. We use it to answer you and to keep track of the enquiry. Nothing more.

The form sends what you write to our showroom inbox as an email, through Resend, the service we use to deliver it. We do not keep a copy in a database on this website — your message lives in our email, which is where we answer it from, and nowhere else. Your email address is set as the reply address so that answering you is a single click.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this one measures how it is being used. We use three tools, and between them they tell us which pages people read, roughly where in the world they are, what kind of device they are on, which site they arrived from, and how quickly the pages loaded. We use this to understand what people come here for and to find the parts of the site that are slow or broken.

We also count a few specific actions: when someone taps our phone number or email address, asks for directions, opens the slab inventory, or sends the contact form. What is recorded is that the action happened and where on the page it happened — not who did it, and not what you typed. We use it to work out which parts of the site are actually helping people reach us, and which are just taking up room.

  • Google Analytics 4, provided by Google. It sets cookies in your browser and is the only thing on this site that does. It derives an approximate location — city level at best — from your IP address, and does not retain the address itself. Full detail, including the cookie names and how to opt out, is on our Cookie Policy.
  • Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our hosting company. It counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you or following you between websites.
  • Vercel Speed Insights, also cookieless. It reports how fast pages actually loaded for real visitors, which is how we find performance problems that do not show up on our own machines.

Separately, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for the ordinary purposes of running and securing a website — serving pages, spotting abuse, and diagnosing faults.

What we do not do

This section exists because a privacy policy is most useful when it rules things out. On this website:

  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have never done either.
  • There is nothing to buy here. The site takes no orders and no payments, so we never see your card details.
  • There are no accounts. You cannot register, so there is no password of yours for us to hold.
  • There is no mailing list. We do not run a newsletter and will not add you to one for getting in touch.
  • There are no advertising or social media trackers.No ad network pixels, no retargeting tags, no “like” buttons phoning home.

Who your information reaches

We do not sell or rent information about you. It reaches other companies only in these ways:

  • Our service providers, who process it on our behalf and under our instructions: Google, for analytics and the map on our contact page; Vercel, who host the site and provide the two cookieless measurements above; and Resend, who deliver the messages sent through our contact form.
  • When the law requires it — a valid legal request, or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim.
  • If the business changes hands, information may transfer with it. Any buyer would be bound by this policy in respect of information collected under it.

Other websites we link to

Our slab inventory is not hosted on this website. The Slab Inventory runs on a separate system, and our sister companies have their own websites. When you follow a link away from here, you are on someone else’s site under someone else’s privacy policy, and this one stops applying. We would encourage you to read theirs.

The same is true of the Google map embedded on our contact page: loading that page loads content from Google, and Google may set its own cookies when it does. Our Cookie Policy covers this.

How long we keep it

Enquiries — emails, and notes about what you were looking for — are kept for as long as we are dealing with them and for a reasonable period afterwards, since a stone project can run for months and customers often come back to a conversation. Analytics data is held by Google and Vercel under the retention periods set in our accounts with them. If you would like us to delete an enquiry, ask us and we will.

Your choices and your rights

You can use this website without being measured. The Cookie Policy sets out how to turn off Google Analytics, either in your browser or with a setting that applies everywhere you go.

Whatever privacy law applies where you live, you are welcome to ask us to do any of the following, and we will not treat you differently for asking:

  • Tell you what information about you we hold, and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything about you that is wrong.
  • Delete what we hold about you.
  • Confirm that we have not sold your personal information or used it for targeted advertising — because we have not.

Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and residents of other states have comparable rights under their own laws. To exercise any of them, email info@klzstone.com or call 1 (972) 807-6187. We may need to ask you something to confirm who you are, so that we are not handing your information to somebody else. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why, and you may ask us to reconsider.

Children

This is a website about wholesale stone slabs. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and we limit access to enquiry emails to the people who need to answer them. No website can promise perfect security, and we are not going to be the first to claim it, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the small amount of information involved.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information, we will change this page and move the date at the top of it. That date is set by hand when the wording changes, so it means what it says.
