Taj Mahal
The warm one, and the reason most kitchens end up in quartzite. A creamy beige ground with soft, low-contrast movement and a faint translucency that makes it glow rather than glare under downlights. It is quartzite, so it is hard — knives, hot pans and lemon juice do not trouble it the way they trouble marble — which is why it has become our most requested kitchen stone.
